Je regrette l'achat de ce réfrigérateur puisque les aliments placés au centre et au fond sont toujours congelés. Donc toute la partie centrale du fond est de l'espace perdu. Pour cette raison, il faut déduire 3 p.i cube, ce qui en fait un réfrigérateur 17 pi. cube malheureusement.

Great Little Fridge!

I only had a small space for my refrigerator and have loved how organized this one allows me to be. Everything works great. My only complaint would be that the produce drawer doesn't close all the way. It appears to be a design flaw that I have seen mentioned on other reviews. Otherwise, I am extremely happy.

Purchased early 2019. Unit had to fit into a certain size. Great in wall water dispenser. My only concern are the instructions in the manual. After 6 months water filter needed replacement. Nowhere in the manual does it say you must use their filter. Online filters were being offered at discount prices. These filters claimed to be a replacement filter. Ater a month the water dispenser stopped and I called in a repairman. I was told the problem was the filter. I showed him the manual and he agreed that it should be clearer in the manual.

Rusting after One Year!

In December of 2017, we purchased a full line of Kitchenaid Stainless Steel appliances for $5K (fridge similar to this model, oven, microwave, dishwasher). We LOVE the function of the appliances and have not had ANY issues other than cosmetic. Every single one is rusting. I noticed it around one year later. When I would clean them, the rag was starting to turn yellow. This became more and more prominent and then you could see hundreds of small rust spots which every so slowly began to grow. I called Kitchenaid in May of 2019 and despite the issue not being covered, they sent someone out who verified that "Yes, that's a lot of rust!" and did not believe there was any reason to believe we were at fault. Kitchenaid replaced both doors on the refrigerator, but understandably the other appliances were not such an easy fix. After MANY phone conversations and lots of suggestions of what I could try, they eventually told me replacing the doors on the fridge was a "good faith gesture," but as all the appliances are rusting, they believe the problem is due to "the environment" they are being kept in. They admitted that their stainless steel is not actually completely stainless steel. They believe something has caused the protective coating that keeps the metal from rusting to be removed, causing the rust. They suggested numerous reasons as to how that could have happened. The humidity in "their environment" is too high. The appliances are in my kitchen, in a home in the middle of the midwest, not on a back porch or outdoor kitchen or even in a southern state where the humidty is higher. They suggested that perhaps I leave food out for too long and that has affected the "environment." They suggested that the chlorine level in my water might be too high and that I should contact my city and start using bottled water to clean the appliances. The only time I ever used anything other than the Kitchenaid cleaner was when they sent me something else to try and those instructions stated to wipe off with water when I applied the treatment. They suggested I used lemon juice. We do have another stainless steel refrigerator. In the same house. Cleaned the same way. Over 10 years old. And NO RUST. It's a Kenmore. A stainless steel wine fridge. No idea how old that is, but much older than the Kitchenaid appliances. NO RUST. A stainless steel toaster. 4 years old. No rust. Ultimately, I'm very disappointed that we upgraded to a brand that is well known for quality and are now stuck with perfectly functional, but rusting appliances.

Too early for full review, but...! Very quiet & works splendidly. Very thoughtful layout & features. I would recommend the drop shelf for tall items go all the way to the back - otherwise the space behind it on the lower shelf is blocked off and not easily accessible. . I would recommend at least one of the condiment bins have a sliding spacer to keep lose items from falling over when the door is opened & shut. To complement the great convenience of being able to open just one door, I'd prefer the crisper drawers be of equal size.

I chose this specific refrigerator because of two features this size came with -- adjustable shelves and inside water dispenser. Love both of those features. Had to call service two hours after installation because one of the veggie bins didn't fit properly. When the technician came (10 days after installation) I was told that Kitchenaid redesigned the bins and I would need a new bin. Are you kidding me? I purchased a $1700 refrigerator and it came with an old bin. Also already left the freezer door open for an entire day because the alarm is completely inadequate (don't even think it works).

Would return it if I could - worst design ever

I hate this refrigerator so much that, after six months of using it, I'm actually thinking about getting rid of it and buying a new one. Everything about the design is flawed and makes it a nuisance, which is especially frustrating when the kitchen remodel a replacement of appliances I undertook was supposed to make my kitchen work better, not worse. This model is an exercise in faulty design and wasted space... I've had smaller refrigerators that hold more. Among my complaints: - The doors do not close with a light push. You actually have to intentionally close them and ensure they are shut. This is annoying to me as a single person who is painfully aware of the design flaw. I can't imagine if I had children or frequent guests. If that were the case, one of the doors would always be inadvertently ajar, wasting energy and spoiling food. - The shelves do not offer enough vertical adjustment options. Unless you remove a shelf entirely, which means you sacrifice storage. This means that the tallest think you can store in this refrigerator... anywhere in it... is a carton of milk. Seriously, you can't even stand up a bottle of wine. And none of the Tupperware beverage containers I have will fit in it. Seriously. - The shelves on the doors are stupidly sized and hardly hold anything. There's also a plastic bin on one of the doors that could be a shelf, which would have been helpful, but it's not. It's a plastic bin that's supposed to be used, according to the manual, for delicate leafy greens. FFS. Delicate leafy greens don't last long enough to warrant a bin. I need more space for things like salad dressing because... wait for it... salad dressing bottles are too tall to fit on any of the shelves except the top one. - The shelves in the body of the refrigerator are designed to be adjustable... like where the front half can slide back to allow for taller items on the shelf below. This feature is so poorly designed that it should never have been incorporated. First, it means there's a big hump of a seam in the middle of the shelves that prevents you from using that part of the shelf unless you want things to fall over. Second, if you do slide the front part of the shelf back under the back par of the shelf, it takes up so much space that the shelf underneath becomes unusable. - The ice maker. Stingy. I run out of ice all the time. And I'm a single person with a full time job. So, I'm not even putting that great of a demand on it. - The freezer is partitioned so that it's hard to store items of any size. And, in fact, the divider just takes up much needed space. Swear to God, most frozen pizzas won't fit in the freezer. I could go on. And on. But you get it. Save your money. Don't buy this refrigerator. Or if you still do want one, but mine. I hate it so much that I really am about to all the $2000 I spent "sunk cost" and buy another.

1) Motor seems to run almost all the time. I will be checking electricity use by comparing electric bills before and after delivery of refrigerator. 2) Doors don't align properly. Gap at top is wider than gap at bottom. 3) Kickplate at bottom of box was damaged. Had to be replaced.

I have had this fridge for a month now, a little early to be real critical but I can't be. I love this fridge, the way the water line and filter are located, on the side and not in the door wasting space. Works but bad warranty and icemaker breaks @ 2yr

I purchased this new about 2 and a half years ago. It looks great, did the job and has nice features. One of these is an ice maker. This broke down on me about a week ago, causing water to spill out onto my nice hardwood floors multiple times before I shut it off. Come to find out the warranty between the 1-5 year mark does not cover the ice maker at all. Unbelievable! After researching, the defrost cycle in this fridge is problematic. Not worth the hassle! Look for a more reliable model! Also, this fridge is quite small.

Flimsy Parts, Poor Design but Great Look!

I bought a KitchenAid fridge, stove and dishwasher in April of 2019. I come from a smaller town so had to do this online so I bought all 3 based on the online pictures. When my stove was delivered, it had had a giant dent it in, there was a chip in the ceramic top and the seals on my fridge were coming unglued in various places. I also just noticed a chip out of the corner of one of the largest glass shelves and as I haven't cleaned my fridge yet as I have barely been home and my appliances are only 3 months old, we'll assume that it came like that or the glass is low quality and is prone to chipping. I haven't even bothered to log a call with their customer service regarding the chip. I have followed up my original e-mail asking for an update and have not heard back. I put in a call immediately after receiving my appliances, while I was registering my warranty, and received a reference number and e-mailed KitchenAid/Whirlpool pictures and it has been over three months with no response, with the exception of a standard 'Thank you for your e-mail, someone is looking into this". I know KitchenAid isn't a Luxury brand, but when you're paying $2000+ for the high end of the mid-range appliances, I'd assume that the appliances would come in good condition and KitchenAid/Whirlpool would be more prompt in getting back to me. I bought the fridge as the water dispenser and ice machine are on the inside of the fridge and I liked the sleek design of having it on the interior. One thing to note is that the ice drawer on the interior takes up a lot of room so you're losing out on freezer space - I did know this before I bought the machine but it's good to note if you're buying the fridge. There is also no room for bigger items like frozen pizza due to the design of the freezer. Also good to note is that it takes a while to fill up a glass or pitcher and the fridge door is open so you're dropping the temperature of the fridge each time you use this feature and it doesn't fully stop when it's done so it leaks a few drops every time you use it which ends up collecting in the bottom drawer of the fridge and on top of the glass shelf of the bottom drawer. The configuration of the shelves isn't very efficient (there's a strange sliding shelf that enables me to put the taller items in the fridge like wine bottles and such, but you can't access the smaller items behind them where the shelf slides under without removing some of the tall items so it's a bit of a waste of space and Whirlpool should've just used that entire space for taller items. When I was transferring items from my old fridge that was full and 15+ years old, same width and shorter than the new KitchenAid, I had a lot of items that did not fit in the fridge. The fruit and veggie drawers also feel flimsy and the sliders are bowing inwards (you can't fill them too full) and do not keep the drawer in place property. There is also a great feature that lets you know if the doors haven't closed properly, which happens very often, due to the design of the french doors, however, it is very quiet and only a short beep periodically and there is no way of adjusting the volume or duration of the beeps. Having said that, I bought the fridge for it's sleek industrial looking design and energy efficiency and it definitely delivers on both of those...having said that, I had to plug in my old fridge due to the limited space/design. After reading the forums and talking to people who also own the fridge, we all seem to be experiencing the same issues. I wish I would've read the forums instead of going with the recommendation of the guy at the appliance store! I definitely would not buy this fridge again and based on the level of customer service, I would not buy KitchenAid products again.

Great for small space!

Light not working in main fridge

The main fridge light was not working upon delivery(should have sent it back then). Took almost a week for the repairman to come and say he needed to order a new part. This took just over two weeks. This did not solve the light problem, but caused the other lights (temp etc. to work intermittently). He said we needed a new fridge. this took a few more days. Very inconvenient!! I should have thought this through, as my Kitchenaid gas stove has never worked properly, but it is such a hassle to get repair people in.
